The ridges 2 and the grooves 3 extend in parallel to each other. The ridges 2 and the grooves 3 extend in a direction intersecting with a pair of both sides 1c and 1d extending in parallel to the nonwoven fabric base material 1. In plan view, each of the grooves 3 includes open hole parts 3h with the open holes 4 and non-open hole parts 3n without the open holes 4 alternately, and arrangement patterns of the open hole parts 3h and the non-open hole parts 3n which are included in the grooves 3 adjacent to each other are different from each other. The nonwoven fabric base material 1 includes, in plan view, open hole areas 11 composed of the open hole parts 3h of a plurality of grooves 3 and non-open hole areas 12 composed of the non-open hole parts 3n. 摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide production of a flexible water-dispersible fiber from sulfopolyester, which especially exhibits appropriate tensile strength, absorptivity, flexibility, and cloth-binding property upon exposure to human bodily fluids.SOLUTION: Disclosed are a manufacturing method of a multicomponent fiber from a blend of a sulfopolyester with a water non-dispersible polymer, and a method of manufacturing a microdenier fiber by drawing this multicomponent fiber (the denier is about less than 6 on spinning, the water-dispersible sulfopolyester shows a melt viscosity of less than 12,000 poises when measured at 240°C and a strain rate of 1 rad/sec., and the sulfopolyester contains about less than 25 mol% of at least one kind of sulfomonomer residues based on the total moles of diacid or diol residues) at a relatively fast rate (for example, at a rate of about 2000 m/min. or more) and by contacting with water to remove the sulfopolyester.

Optionally, the macroscopically three-dimensional cleaning sheets can comprise a contractable material (e.g., a scrim material), which when heated and then cooled contracts so as to provide a macroscopic, three-dimensional structure. Macroscopic three-dimensionality is described in terms of "average peak-to-peak distance" and "surface topography index", as well in terms of "average height differential". Also disclosed are cleaning implements comprising a handle and the described cleaning sheets. Processes for the sheets, benefits of the processes, and articles of manufacture are also disclosed.
