摘要： In the pocket hole apparatus of the present invention, a table reciprocates linearly relative to a base. An anvil is fixed relative to the base and holds the workpiece on a sloped top surface at the desired angle for the pocket hole. A drill spindle with a drill bit is fixed relative to the table. After the workpiece is mounted to the anvil, the table is moved to drill the pocket hole. Optionally, a second spindle on the opposite side of the anvil predrills the pocket hole when the table is first moved to a predrill position. The spindle is enabled or disabled by latching mechanism. The spindle is mounted to a rail that is slidably mounted to the table so that the rail can slide perpendicularly thereby adjusting the spacing between pocket holes.

CONSTITUTION:Cutting-off machines 12, which comprise elements for cutting off the ends of a tubular material 6 supported on support members 7 and comprise chuck elements for chucking the tubular material in its cutting-off, and chamfering machines 13, which have elements for chamfering the cut-off end faces of the tubular material, are provided near each other on tables 10 respectively. A main chuck, a driver for causing the main chuck to perform chucking or release by fluid pressure, and another driver for a cutter provided on the outside of the body of each cutting-off machine are provided in the body. An auxiliary chuck 36, which is located at a distance from the main chuck in the longitudinal direction of the tubular material 6, is provided on the outside of the body of each cutting-off machine.
