    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an increase in cutting resistance, chipping, missing or the like due to cutting chip clogging from being generated by a bottom cutting edge having a small pitch in a rotational direction side of an end mill even when the pitches between the bottom cutting edges in a circumferential direction of each thereof differ from one another.SOLUTION: On an outer circumference of a front end portion of an end mill body 1 which is rotated about an axis O thereof is formed with an odd number of five or more outer peripheral cutting edges 6 which is twisted about the axis O to a rearward side of a rotational direction T of the end mill from a front end of the end mill body 1 toward a rear end side thereof and are arranged at intervals in a circumferential direction; and bottom cutting edges 7 which are formed at the front end of the end mill body 1 so as to respectively extend from the tips of the outer peripheral cutting edges 6 toward the axis O, the number of the bottom cutting edges 7 being the same as the number of the outer peripheral cutting edges 6, wherein the outer peripheral cutting edges 6 have different helix angles with respect to the axis 0 between the outer peripheral cutting edges 6 adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction, at least a portion of the bottom cutting edges 7 has a pitch between the bottom cutting edges 7 adjacent to each other in the rotational direction T of the end mill, the pitch differing from the pitches between the other bottom cutting edges 7, among the bottom cutting edges, the bottom cutting edge 7Bb having the smallest pitch becomes a long bottom cutting edge which extends up to a position past the axis 0, and the other bottom cutting edges do not go past the axis O.
