    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing by adsorption carbon dioxide, from mixed gases such as air being a raw material, as a component undesirable for a low-temperature separation process which separates air at a low temperature.SOLUTION: The method for separating carbon dioxide by adsorption by bringing the mixed gases consisting of two or more sorts of components containing carbon dioxide and gases lower in polarity than carbon dioxide into contact with a zeolite adsorbent, is characterized in that the partial pressure of carbon dioxide, when the mixed gases are brought into contact with the zeolite adsorbent, is in a range of 0.1-50 mmHg, in that the zeolite adsorbent is a low silica X-type zeolite of which the SiO/AlOmolar ratio is 1.9-2.1, in that the content of the low silica X-type zeolite is 95% or more, in that the average pressure resistance of the low silica X-type zeolite molding, when prepared in a particle size of 1.4-1.7 mm by sieving for measuring, is between 1.0 or more kgf and 1.7 or less kgf, and in that the macropore volume of the low silica X-type zeolite molding is between 0.25 or more cc/g and 0.27 or less cc/g.
