    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the directivity/omnidirectivity of an antenna body, radiation polarization and a radiation direction in a desired state by contriving the structure of an antenna element without increasing size and cost. SOLUTION: This antenna system is provided with a conductive driven element 11 arranged on a dielectric substrate 19 with prescribed length, parasitic elements 11 and 13 made of semiconductive plastic and control electrodes 15a and 15b connected to the parasitic elements 11 and 13, control a direct current bias voltage to be supplied to the control electrodes 15a and 15b and switches the parasitic elements 11 and 13 to be insulative or/and conductive. The two parasitic elements 11 and 13 switched to be conductive are combined to constitute a directional antenna body including a wave guide, a reflector or the like and, except the driven element (power supply device), the wave guide and the reflector are made insulative to thereby be able to construct an omnidirectional antenna body.
