    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a banknote validator capable of preventing an error of detection data by corrugation of a banknote, and performing the real/false determination of the banknote without being influenced by a fluctuation of the distance between the banknote and a sensor.
      SOLUTION: This banknote validator with a reflecting optical sensor comprises a first reflecting sensor having a first light projection part and a first light receiving part arranged on one side of a banknote passage, which receives the light from the first light projection part reflected by the banknote by the first light receiving part, a first correction parameter arithemtic device for computing and outputting a correction parameter for the distance between the banknote and the first reflecting sensor based on the output of the first light receiving part, and a determination device for determining whether the banknote is the real or false based on the output of the first light receiving part and the output of the first correction parameter arithmetic device.
