    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a photoreceptor that improves a filler dispersion property in a coating liquid for forming a protection layer, reduces curing inhibition and maintains a suitable elution amount of a charge transport material to the protection layer, and to provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor that has excellent mechanical and electrostatic durability and can stably output images of high picture quality while being free from image deficiency even during repetitive printing over an extended period of time.
      SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor comprising a charge generation layer, a charge transport layer and a protection layer successively on an electroconductive support, the charge transport layer contains a charge transport material having a molecular weight of from 600 to 900 and a binder resin, and the protection layer contains a cured resin and a filler, the resin comprising a polymerizable compound having a charge transport structure and a polymerizable compound having no charge transport structure. The method includes a step of forming the protection layer from a coating liquid containing a filler, a polycarboxylic acid compound, a polymerizable compound having a charge transport structure, a polymerizable compound having no charge transport structure, and cyclopentanone.
