    • PURPOSE:To supervise VDT for a long time by varying transmission characteristics of light of parts of a pair of spectacles through which a cursor is viewed when the flicker frequency of the eyes of a supervisor exceeds a specific threshold value, and varying the contrast. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 24 has a phase shifter 33 which delays the phase of an electric signal obtained by converting light of a flashing cursor signal through a converter 32, a flicker frequency variation detecting circuit 36 which detects the flicker frequency of the eyes detected by a detector 35 exceeding the constant threshold value, and a gate circuit 34 which passes the output of the phase shifter 33 according to the output of the detecting circuit 36; and the output of the gate circuit 34 is displayed on a signal display part 37. The display part 37 decreases the contrast of light which is mixed optically with the cursor signal flashing on a CRT and reaches the eyes of the observer. The display part 37 is provided to parts 41 of the spectacles through which the cursor on the CRT is viewed and is composed of liquid crystal which vary in transmission characteristics of light according to variation in applied voltage.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce variation in the degree of brightness of a part that an operator gazes steadily at by using a lens whose upper part is brighter than the lower part. CONSTITUTION:The lens for the operator who performs computer VDT operation is brighter at the upper part than at the lower part. The operator's eyes face horizontally or upward when gazing steadily at an information display device and face horizontally or downward when gazing steadily at an information input device and an information source; the eyes move up and down frequently. As for brightness, the information display device has the lowest illuminance among the three. Therefore, the lens which is brighter at the upper part than at the lower part is used to reduce variation in the degree of brightness of the part that the operator qazes steadily at.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the fatigue of eyes in VDT work and to make spectacles fashionable by holding a couple of polarizing lenses at longer distance from a face than that of normal spectacles, and fitting one of the polarizing lenses attachably and detachably and linking it with a spectacle body through a chain or cord, etc. CONSTITUTION:The 1st polarizing lens 1 and the 2nd polarizing lens 2 are supported on frames 3 and 5 at longer distance from the face than that of normal spectacles. The 2nd polarizing lens 2 is disengaged from magnets 9 and 10, etc., when not necessary and suspended from beside the frame 3 through a chain, or cord 8, etc., and pads are higher than those of normal spectacles. The 2nd polarizing lenses 2 are put on the 1st polarizing lenses 1 during VDT work, and intense light emitted from a fluorescent body is relieved through the polarizing operation of those two polarizing lenses; when the eyes are directed downward for keyboard operation, natural light which is not passed through the spectacles enter the eyes because the polarizing lenses 1 and 2 are supported at distance from the face, so the operation is easily performed. The 2nd polarizing lenses while disengaged and suspended through the chain 8 serve as accessories.
