    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an individual management system for managing an article using an automatic identification technology that uses wireless communication device. SOLUTION: This individual article management device is attached to a managed object, and an individual article identification device can wirelessly communicate with the individual article management device, and an individual article information management device has a constitution which is communicatable with the individual article identification device. The individual article management device has a detection portion, such as sensor, and the individual identification device has a position analysis portion for calculating the distance between the individual article management device and the individual article identification device. The server reads the positional coordinates corresponding to the position code from a database 15, determines the current position and the traveling direction of the shopping cart from the relationship between the positional coordinates and the arrangement position of the first antenna, and transmits the determined current position and the traveling direction to the shopping cart. The shopping cart receives the current position and the traveling direction from the server, and displays it on a display part 26 for notification.
