SOLUTION: With respect to an input signal extracted as a signal of a partial section S 1 , power is adjusted, by using a gain corrected by an input gain control amount C 1 represented as a ratio between an average power and the target power of the signal of the partial section S 1 . Likewise for other partial sections, power is adjusted by using a gain corrected by an input gain control amount represented as a ratio between an average power and a target power of the signal of the partial section concerned. By the power adjustment, the power of the signal of each partial section can be made within a dynamic range of a spectrum measuring section. With respect to the signal of each partial section after the power adjustment, the power spectrum is measured by the spectrum measuring section.     • PURPOSE:To optimize time-base resolution in the high-speed region of a signal to be analyzed and frequency-base resolution in the slow-speed region by providing plural BPFs and a means which classifies slot widths in roughly constant relative series in every range. CONSTITUTION:This device consists of BPFs 101-103, a multiplexer 11, A/D converter 12, data memory 13, FET14, spectrum image memory 15, and sequencer 16. Then, the filters 101-103 have a high, an intermediate, and a low frequency passing band, and the signal to be analyzed is inputted to those filter. Outputs of those filters are selected by the multiplexer 11, converted by the converter 12, and stored in the memory 13. Further, the timing of the conversion of the converter 12 is controlled by the sequencer 16 and sampling data is processed by the FET14. Therefore, the high-band group components of the analyzed signal have superior time-base resolution and the low-band group has superior frequency resolution.
