摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC socket for enlarging a movement volume in a vertical as well as a horizontal direction of contact parts of a contact.
SOLUTION: The IC socket loading an IC package with a gull-wing lead includes a socket body including a pedestal, on an upper part of which, a housing recess part is set for housing the IC package, a cover arranged at an upper part of the socket body and formed in free up-and-down movement from it, at least a pair of levers each including a driving part, an operating part and a rotating shaft supported by the socket body in free rotation through each rotating shaft, and a plurality of contacts each including a contact part, an arm part, an elastically deforming part, a press-fitting part and a terminal part. The rotating shaft of the lever is so formed to have a shape combining two circles with two common outer tangent lines on a vertical cross section, so that the lever is made rotated in accordance with the up-an-down movement of the cover, and thereby, the contact parts of the contact are made to move forward and backward into and from the housing recess part of the pedestal.
