    • PURPOSE: To uniformly regenerate a gas absorptive element by desorption throughout its whole thick by energizing the gas absorptive element by electrifying between netted electrodes attached to both ends of a regeneration zone in such a way as to heat it by its electric resistance.
      CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical rotary type gas absorptive element 5, formed by alternately laminating a corrugated sheet element consisting of flat paper sheet coated with active carbon fine particles, a paper, a cloth, and providing small through holes 4 in its both ends axially, is inserted into a casing 6 in rotatably manner, and netted electrodes 12 are attached to both ends of a regeneration zone divided by a purge spoke in a sliding manner. When being used, the gas absorption element is turned with a low speed, a gas to be absorbed is sent through a duct 10 into the absorption zone, at the same time a voltage is applied between the netted electrodes 12 through the regeneration zone in such a way as to product resistance heat in the active carbon of the element 5 and thereby to desorb the gas absorbed, and regenerating air of ordinary temperature is passed through the duct 11 to send the desorbed gas to the outside of the element.
