    • PURPOSE:To effectively heat the forward end of each thermoelectric element, by a method wherein the forward end of each of a plurality of thermoelectric elements is disposed along the peripheral direction of a flame cylinder, and the forward ends, positioned across the alignment, out of the forward ends are slightly deviated toward the center side of the flame cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The forward ends of thermoelectric elements 40 are aligned right above between inner and outer flame cylinders 16 and 17 of a combustion cylinder 15 and along the peripheral direction thereof, the forward ends, positioned at the intermediate of the alignment, are situated at an intermediate point between the flame cylinders 16 and 17, the forward ends, located on the opposite ends of the alignment, are gradually slightly deviated toward the center side of the combustion cylinder 15 from the intermediate point. In a portion where the thermoelectric elements 40 are disposed, resulting from control of draft, a combustion flame and combustion exhaust gas are raised approximately perpendicularly at the intermediate part of the alignment part, and they are gradually slightly raised at the sides across the alignment in a manner to be inclined toward the center side of the combustion cylinder 15. Thus, the elements are positioned in a location relation dependent upon the rising condition of a combustion flame and combustion exhaust gas, the forward ends of the thermoelectric elements 40 are respectively reliably brought into contact with a high temperature combustion flame and combustion exhaust gas, resulting in effective heating.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a safety shut-off control valve, using a small number of solenoid valves and control circuits for actualizing continuous and reliable adjustment of the flow rate of fluid in a fluid circulation path, and safe and reliable shut-off in the event of failure of electrical power supply to the solenoid valves. SOLUTION: A safety valve B is connected in series to the safety shut-off control valve in a fluid flow path. In the safety shut-off control valve A, a sealing valve is returned to a sealing position against a seat 8 by means of a return spring 18, and is controlled by a linear actuator 10 and a connecting rod 9 for continuous adjustment of the valve opening. The connecting rod 9 comprises two segments 12, 13 which are made from a ferromagnetic material and which are magnetically coupled to a magnetic coupling circuit 19 that is activated by a coil 32. While electric power is being supplied to the coil 32, a coil magnetic field maintains the connecting rod 9 segments 12, 13 coupled to one another. Once the power being supplied to an opening coil 32 is interrupted, the segments 12, 13 and the sealing valve return to the sealing position regardless of the position of the linear actuator 10.     • PURPOSE:To actuate the thermocouple type safety valve stably and surely by a method wherein the thermocouple is arranged between a catalyzer burner and a wire net and the zero junction of the thermocouple is provided at the lower part of the burner through a radiating plate which is a separate part from a burner box. CONSTITUTION:With the operation of an operating knob 2, the gas fed from a gas inlet 1 is burnt at a heating burner 16 and a catalyzer burner 6. After the heating burner 16 goes out, the catalyzer burner 6 burns with the supply of the secondary air (indicated with the arrows A) and discharges the exhaust gas as indicated with the arrow B. At that time, the flow of the secondary air and the exhaust gas causes the draft effect to flow the cold air as indicated with the arrow C. Because the zero junction of the thermocouple 8 is affixed within the cold air flow through the radiating plate, thermal electromotive force generated in the thermocouple 8 is stable and consequently holds the safety valve 3 stably to bring to the stationary operation.
