By using the plate and the container, stable combustion can be easily, safely and economically maintained without causing user's mishandling for the insertion of the combustion core 11 or the measuring/injection of water 6 and liquid fuel 3.

    • PURPOSE:To realize the favorable combustion and extinction of flames by a method wherein through holes are covered at normal combustion and extinction of flames, while, when a fire-extinguishing device is brought into actuation, the through holes are open and at the same time the amount of descent of a wick body can be made larger than that at the normal extinction of flames. CONSTITUTION:When the combustion is intended, a wick holding piece 23 is pivoted, resulting in releasing the engagement between a slide rod 18 and an engaging piece 38. Consequently, a sliding liner 12 is lifted by the recoiling force of a spring 16 in order to block through holes 10 bored on a wick frame 8. When the extinction of flames is intended, a spring 33 keeps the energizing state, resulting in keeping the slide rod 18 and the engaging piece 38 at the disengaged state. Consequently, the sliding liner 12 is kept on energizing upwards and the through holes 10 remain as blocked. If a main body quakes, the engaging piece 38 and the slide rod 18 are brought into engagement, resulting in lowering the slide rod 18. As a result, the sliding liner 12 is lowered against the force of the spring 16 in order to clear the through holes 10. The opening of the through holes 10 by lowering the sliding liner 12 only when a fire-extinguishing device is brought into actuaion can be possible by setting the amount of discent of a wick body larger at the actuation of the fire-extinguishing device than that at the reverse turning operation of a turning knob 22.

    • PURPOSE:To perform a smooth vertical movement of a wick, by a method wherein the lower end of a wick-mounting plate is adapted to bend outward when the wick is lowered into a wick guide cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A wick 1 is attached, and parts 5 and 6, bent outward, are attached to the upper end and the lower end of a wick-mounting plate 4 whereto the wick 1 is vertically movable mounted. When the wick 1 is raised to be situated in a combustion cylinder 13, this constitution enables forcing up of the wick in a manner that the upper end of the wick 1 is prevented from being caught in the joint of a wick guid cylinder 7, serving to recduce a thermal movement, and a wick guid cylinder 3, and a vent hole 8 provided in order to expedite a fire- extinguishing time. Besides, the wick 1 is firmly adhered to the wick guiding outer cylinder 2 during combustion, and thereby the kerosene gasified in a fuel 14 is prevented from flowing in the combustion tube 13, resulting in ability to perform a perfect combustion in the set air-fuel ratio.
