    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a best possible adaptive lighting system corresponding to a road scene considering all of driving conditions.SOLUTION: An adaptive lighting system for an automobile vehicle includes: at least one light source 12 emitting light radiation; a scanning system 16 receiving the light radiation from the light source 12 and spatially distributing the light onto the surface of a wavelength conversion device 20; the wavelength conversion device 20 receiving the light radiation from the light source 12 and re-emitting white light radiation; and an optical imaging system 30 receiving the white light re-emitted by the wavelength conversion device 20, and projecting this light in front of the vehicle to form a lighting beam. The wavelength conversion device 20 is situated close to a focal plane of the optical imaging system 30, and the scanning system 16 and the optical imaging system 30 are situated on the same side of the wavelength conversion device 20. An intensity of the white light radiation emitted by the wavelength conversion device 20 is capable of being modulated between a minimum value and a maximum value, and the scanning is performed at variable speed.
