    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift device of a manual transmission capable of preventing the deterioration of the shift feeling of a shifting lever by simultaneously reducing a play and friction resistance generated between a large ball of the shifting lever and a spherical hole at a casing side for support the large ball.
      SOLUTION: A shifting lever 13 is supported by both a large ball 13a and a spherical hole 11c of an outer member 11 provided at a casing 10 of a transmission via rolling engagement support members 15, 15A, 15B, 15C having a plurality of rolling elements 18 simultaneously subjected to rolling engagement in an oscillating manner around a select center line O1 and a shift center line O2. The rolling engagement support members form a pair, and arranged opposite to each other with respect to the center of the large ball. An outer member is divided into two by a plane 11e passing through the center of the spherical hole, and abutted on an outer side of the rolling engagement support members from both sides to hold the large ball 13a.

On a second lip portion 52 of the inside seal 5, an extension portion 52a is formed which has contact with the lower face of the swollen portion 21a to increases friction force. On a first lip portion 61 of an outside seal 6, an extension portion 61a is formed which has contact with the upper face of the swollen portion 12a to increases friction force.
