    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified and compactified apparatus having a function of stopping movement of a reciprocating single moving member or the like in both directions in a shock absorbing manner.SOLUTION: A liquid chamber 11 filled with liquid is in a cylinder housing 10, and a rod 20 that holds a shock absorbing mechanism 30 provided in the liquid chamber is led out from the cylinder housing, and the shock absorbing mechanism has a function of stopping, in a shock absorbing manner, mutual movement by a pressing force acting between the cylinder housing and the rod and an external force in a tensile direction. The shock absorbing mechanism includes, in the liquid chamber, a pair of pistons 31a, 31b arranged so as to sandwich a liquid storage chamber 18 forming an accumulator on the rod, and circulation gaps 33a, 33b that give flow resistance to liquid are formed between peripheral surfaces of both pistons and inner peripheral surfaces of the piston chamber, and both pistons are provided with a one-way flow channel that prevents circulation of liquid to the liquid storage chamber side when the piston is pushed toward the piston chamber side and allows circulation of liquid in the opposite direction.
