    • PURPOSE: To secure the safe operation of a boring device by a method in which an operating conduit is connected to the boring device consisting of an upper annular preventer and a ram preventer and lowered into sea, and the device is connected to the upright conduit of a templet laid on the seabed.
      CONSTITUTION: A boring device consisting of an upper annular preventer 38 and a ram preventer is mounted separately on both boards of a spider deck 18 provided below the overhung operating deck 14 of a deck elevation-type offshore working platform 10. The ram preventer 40 is then taken out to the central lower part of the deck 18, and the preventer 38 is connected to the upper part of the preventer 40. An operating conduit 32 for excavation is connected to the preventer 38, and the boring device is lowered with the conduit 32 into sea and connected to the upright conduit 36 of a templet 34 laid on the seabed.
