摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire containing a tire component having a textile reinforcement exhibiting improved adhesion to rubber. SOLUTION: Single-end aramid cords are treated with an aqueous dispersion of a 1 percent by weight of fine particle ortho-cresol formaldehyde novolac polyepoxide resin by dipping the cords, followed by drying. The cords are then treated with a resorcinol-formaldehyde-latex (RFL) adhesive dip (15 percent by weight of solids) containing an SBR latex, a vinylpyridine-styrene-butadiene latex, a blocked isocyanate, carbon black, and 0.4 to 4 weight percent of polyvinylpyrrolidone based on the total weight of elastomer by dipping the cords, followed by drying. The single-end dipped cords are plied up into layers with both sides coated with a 0.30 mm standard rubber coat compound to make a rubberized single-end dipped cord composite, which is then cured. The composite containing a small amount of polyvinylpyrollidone provides an unexpectedly high level of rubber-cord adhesion as a component of a pneumatic tire. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
