      SOLUTION: A weaving machine (1) is equipped with the setting device (31) which has an indicating device (45) of information on the weaving machine and an inputting device (44) into which numerical values of the set values regarding an identical set item in two or more of selection numbers are input so that the selection numbers are independent of each other, and further equipped with a controlling device (41) which memories the set values in each of the selection numbers and controls electrically-driven actuators (9, 13, 14, 19, 23, 34, 43) connected thereto based on the set values corresponding to the selection numbers, wherein the set values input into the inputting device are set as the set values regarding the identical set item in the other selection number, by an operation conducted by an operator as a start of the transmission, when the set values regarding the set item in one of the selection numbers are input into the setting device and then the set values regarding the set item identical to the set item in the other selection number are set.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weft insertion device capable of reducing the air flow rate consumed by sub-nozzles while maintaining the stable flying speed of a weft yarn. SOLUTION: The weft insertion device is constituted as follows. The sub-nozzles 3A-3C in a divided region A1 on the upstream side in the weft insertion direction is arranged at a constant pitch P1, and the sub-nozzles 3D-3F in a divided region A2 on the downstream side in the weft insertion direction are arranged at a pitch P2 larger than the pitch P1 of the sub-nozzles 3A-3C. The weft yarn is conveyed in a weft insertion path by the air jetted from the sub-nozzles 3A-3C at the comparatively dense pitch P1 in the divided region A1. As a result, the flying speed and the flying stability in the accelerated state are sufficiently secured while the weft yarn flies in the divided region A1. In the divided region A2, the weft yarn is conveyed by the air jetted from the sub-nozzles 3D-3F at the comparatively coarse pitch P2 to finish the weft insertion without reducing the flying speed and the flying stability. Each second opening and closing valve is connected to a main nozzle and opening of the first opening and closing valve is carried out in a prescribed first period in weft insertion and opening of each second opening and closing valve is carried out in the first period and a second period different from the first one.
