    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphor substrate which enables exciting light to efficiently enter into a phosphor layer and causes a phosphor to absorb the light thereby improving the phosphor conversion efficiency (a ratio of light volume of the extracted fluorescent light to light volume of the exciting light).SOLUTION: A phosphor substrate includes: a substrate 1; and phosphor layers 3R, 3G, 3B which are provided on the substrate 1 and generate fluorescent light 6 by exciting light L entering from the opposite side of the substrate 1.
