摘要： PURPOSE: To provide the titled compsn. having excellent pigment dispersiblity, containing a specified partially oxidized nitrocellulose and a pigment.
CONSTITUTION: Nitrocellulose is suspended or dissolved in water or an org. solvent such as acetone. An oxidizing agent such as H
2 O
2 is added thereto and the mixture is heated at 20W100°C to oxidize nitrocellulose. The oxidized product is treated with an aq. hydrochloric acid soln. and/or an aq. soln. of a metal hydroxide to obtain a partially oxidized nitrocellulose (A) having a nitrogen content of 8.0 or above and a carboxyl group and/or carboxylic acid metal salt content of 2mmol or above per 100g of nitrocellulose. Component A, an org. or inorg. pigment and an org. solvent such as methyl ethyl ketone are kneaded to disperse them in one another. If necessary, synthetic resin binder such as alkyd resin, plasticizer, segregation inhibitor, ultraviolet absorber, etc. are blended therewith.
