    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antifouling layer of a building base material further improved in antifouling performance and its durability; and a building material and an outer wall with the antifouling layer formed on their surfaces. SOLUTION: This antifouling layer formed on the surface of the building base material has thickness in average of more than or equal to 150 nm and includes silica fine particles bound together by an alkali silicate. The antifouling layer formed on the surface of the building base material preferably includes silica fine particles bound together by hydrotalcite where the mean particle size of the silica fine particles is less than 10 nm.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method where, in a cement base cured body such as a steam-cured concrete secondary product (particularly, a high strength concrete product) in which the unevenness of color is easy to be generated, the unevenness of color is hard to be conspicuous.
      SOLUTION: Efflorescence including calcium carbonate is generated on the surface of a cement base cured body by carbonation steam curing, and it is uniformly shaded off, so as to improve the unevenness in the color of the surface. The maximum value of a color difference in the surface of the cement base cured body is ≤3.0. When ordinary steam curing is performed after the carbonation stream curing, the mechanical strength of the cement base cured body is improved, so as to increase its strength as well. As equipment for curing, the one comprising: an apparatus 6 for carbonation steam curing for feeding a high temperature gas including a carbon dioxide gas and steam into a curing chamber 1; and an apparatus 3 for steam curing for feeding a high temperature gas including steam into the curing chamber 1 can be cited.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface modifier for a hardened cementitious body which prevents the body from undergoing surface color unevenness and to provide a method for producing a hardened cementitious body.
      SOLUTION: The present surface modifier for the hardened cementitious body comprises an aqueous solution containing 1 mass% to saturation concentration alkali metal hydrogen carbonate and/or an alkali metal carbonate, 5 mass% to saturation concentration water retention agent, and 0.3 to 0.7 mass% thickening agent. The present method for producing the hardened cementitious body comprises (A) the step of kneading a mixture containing at least cement and water and pouring the kneaded mixture into a mold to form an unhardened molding, (B) the step of primarily curing the unhardened molding to obtain a hardened molding, (C) the step of removing the molding from the mold and coating the surface of the removed molding with the above surface modifier, and (D) the step of secondarily curing the coated molding to obtain the hardened cementitious body.
