    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material conveying device and a recording device capable of certainly performing side registration by strongly deviating it to a reference surface relative to the sheet material of a small size and performing conveying being not buckled and deformed by weakly deviating it to the reference surface relative to a sheet material of a large size.
      SOLUTION: The reference surface 30 for restricting a side end of the sheet material 50 is arranged. A plurality of pinch rollers have a first pinch roller arranged closer to the reference surface and generating deviation force toward the reference surface on the sheet material; a second pinch roller arranged at a position more far from the reference surface than the first pinch roller and generating deviation force toward an opposite side of the reference surface on the sheet material. The deviation force generated by the first pinch roller is larger than the deviation force generated by the second pinch roller.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent inks from adhering to shape imparting rollers each of which has a large outer diameter and imparts a predetermined shape to paper.SOLUTION: A paper discharge roller 11 at a paper discharge unit 7 of an image forming apparatus has an upper roller 20 serving as a drive roller and a lower roller 21 serving as a driven roller. The lower roller has a nip roller 22 fixed at a shaft 24 to hold paper between itself and the upper roller, and shape imparting rollers 23 stay free with respect to the shaft, have diameters larger than that of the nip roller, and reside at both sides of the nip roller. Because a transporting speed of paper which is held and transported is constant, the number of revolutions of the nip roller having a small outer diameter is smaller than the number of rotations of the shape imparting rollers each having a large outer diameter. The friction of shape imparting rollers to the paper is reduced in comparison with the case that, in a prior art, ink adhesion and accumulation is suppressed, and trouble such as paper contamination by ink upon paper discharge hardly occurs.
