    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely support a paper feeding cassette 3 while eliminating a large portion of a bottom plate of a device casing 2 and to prevent damage of a placement face of a desk top board etc. on which the device casing 2 is placed when inserting/removing the paper feeding cassette 3. SOLUTION: A flat plate-shaped first support part 29 and a flat plate-shaped second part 30 are provided in an insertion hole 2a side and an insertion back side of the device casing 2, respectively. Between the first and second support parts 29, 30, an opening part 31 having a large area and penetrating vertically is formed. An escape groove 52, an engagement hook part 53 and a positioning part 54 are provided in the insertion back side. Since a rotating roller 32 is provided on a back bottom plate 3a1 of the paper feeding cassette 3, only the rotating roller 32 is rotated on the exposed placement face of the opening part 31 when inserting/removing the cassette, so as to prevent damage of the placement face.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately detect whether a check storage part of a check processing device is full.
      SOLUTION: The check storage part 10 of the check processing device 1 is provided with first and second storage pockets 13, 14. Front side vertical pressing plates 54, 64 and rear side vertical pressing plates 55, 65 for aligning and holding fed checks in a stacking state are provided in the respective storage pockets 13, 14. The front side vertical pressing plates 54, 64 are pushed out in accordance with total thickness of the checks stored in the respective storage pockets 13, 14. The total thickness of the checks stored in the respective storage pockets 13, 14 can be detected by using detection mechanisms 80, 90 provided with pieces 81, 91 to be detected formed on these and photosensors 82, 92 for detecting these pieces to be detected and it is possible to appropriately determine whether the check storage part is full base on the detection.
