And, a connecting pin 4 is pierced through an inner diameter of the bush core part 11, constituting a chain.

    • PURPOSE:To give high wear resistance to a track bushing without increasing manufacturing cost of the bushing, by making the bushing into a dual structure made of an external and internal pipes. CONSTITUTION:A track bushing 1 is made into a dual structure made of an external pipe 2 and an internal pipe 3. The external pipe 2 is made of low-carbon alloy steel having 0.5-0.8% carbon content to give wear resistance to the pipe 2, and hardness of the pipe 2 is made into HRC58 or more by applying hardening and tempering to the same. On the other hand, although the wear resistance is not required for the internal pipe 3, fatigue strength for crack resistance is necessary. Then low-carbon alloy steel having 0.5-0.48% carbon content is selected for the internal pipe 3. Hardness is made into HRC35-50 through hardening and tempering. Then compressive residual stress of -30--60kg/mm. is made to generate on the surface of an inner diametral surface of each of the pipes by applying shot peening to the surface.

For producing the combined sleeve for driving a caterpillar, after the surface layer of the sintered hard material is dispersed and combined on a sleeve main body of construction steel, it is desirably processed by cementation and hardening.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crawler belt assembly which reinforces a pair of links in a simple construction and prevents a part of the link on which a stress is liable to concentrate from being broken.
      SOLUTION: A pair of the parallel links 26 having shaft holes 31, 32 on both ends are fixed on a non-ground surface of a track shoe 25 with a bolt 36 and a connecting shaft 27 is fixed between the ends of the shaft holes 31 in both the links 26 to compose the crawler belt assembly 22 having an opening on the other ends of both the links 26. In a side of a ground surface or the non-ground surface of the track shoe 25, a reinforcing member 48 for reinforcing both the links 26, is fixed between both the links 26 with the bolt 36.

    • PURPOSE:To impart a higher strength and toughness to a bushing, by providing a tempered part between high-frequency hardened parts. CONSTITUTION:In the first step, bushing blank is moved relatively to a product coil while rotating the blank with the axis thereof as a center, and an outside peripheral surface thereof is subjected to high-frequency hardening. In the second step, while rotating the bushing blank in the same manner as in the first step and cooling the outside peripheral surface thereof with water, the blank is moved relatively to the product coil, and an inside peripheral surface thereof is subjected to high-frequency hardening. As a result of the hardening of the inside peripheral surface, while the outside peripheral surface part retains the hardness as hardened, a central part of the wall thickness is softened by tempering under the effect of heating of the inside surface through heat conduction. In the third step, the bushing blank is subjected to low-temperature tempering, whereby the structure of the inside and outside peripheral surfaces is converted from martensite into tempered martensite, and the bushing 7 is completed.
