    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damper for a passage pipe and a vibration suppression method.SOLUTION: The damper includes a flexible main body partitioning an accommodation chamber and an elongated opening adjacent to the accommodation chamber. The main body is flexible to be deformed between a first form and a second form. In the first form, the elongated opening has a first width insufficient for allowing a passage pipe to pass therethrough. In the second form, the elongated opening has a second width sufficient for allowing the passage pipe to pass therethrough. The second width is larger than the first width. Further, the flexible main body includes a plurality of strip wires for adjustment, namely, adjustment strip wires. When connecting the damper to the passage pipe in such a manner that the passage pipe is extended through the accommodation chamber, the adjustment strip wire has a length and a width configured to suppress vibrations of the passage pipe.

It includes a rotational position change detecting means for detecting change of rotational position of the servo motor, and an operation limit determining means for determining whether the servo motor has reached an operation limit position or not based on the change in rotational position. When the servo motor is determined to have reached the operation limit position, the drive control means stops driving of the servo motor without receiving a servo motor drive stop command from the main control unit.
