摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the frequencies of exchanging doctor knife and also of repairing intaglio printing roll by allowing more or less abrasion of the doctor knife and the intaglio printing roll by preventing the adherence of remaining ink on the surface of the intaglio printing roll to a soft sheet by means of a protective plate provided between the intaglio printing roll and the soft sheet. CONSTITUTION:A wire 9 of a diameter of 3mm. is laid in parallel with the rotary shaft of an intaglio printing roll 3 in the neighborhood of the inlet side of the roll 3, and a 0.3mm. thick steel protective plate 6 is attached to the wire 9 in such a way as to cover the upside of the end portion of the roll 3. In printing, a long soft sheet 1, e.g., a thin soft synthetic resin sheet, etc., is passed through between the roll 3 and a letterpress printing plate-pressing rubber roll 5, ink in an ink bath 2 is put on the roll 3, and excessive ink is raked out by the doctor knife 4.
