    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately calculate a remaining amount of ink even when the kind of the ink is different in a method for calculating the remaining amount of the ink in which a discharging amount of the ink is obtained based on the number of rotation of a driving motor of an ink feeding pump sucking and discharging the ink from an ink container, and the remaining amount of the ink is calculated by integrally subtracting the discharging amount of the ink from the total amount of the ink.
      SOLUTION: Data on the kind of the ink is obtained by reading it from a storing means 5 of the ink container 4, and a discharging amount per unit number of rotation on a standard ink set in advance is corrected based on the kind of the ink obtained in a remaining amount calculating means 22, and the remaining amount is calculated by integrally subtracting a value obtained by multiplying the corrected discharging amount by a working time from the total amount of the ink in the ink container 4.
