    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of operating a sheet-fed printing press equipped with a plurality of printers. SOLUTION: A transfer cylinder and a plate cylinder of each printer are moved into pressing positions to rotate while abutting on each other through only a guard ring contact of the transfer cylinder and plate cylinder in order to detect a geometrical error of the printer of the sheet-fed printing press, and a control part parameter of a driving control part of a direct-coupled driving device is adjusted to supply constant or substantially constant driving moment to the plate cylinder through the direct-coupled driving device. A control error between a target value and an actual value of the driving control part of the direct-coupled driving device is detected, and the control error corresponds to the geometrical error of the printer of the sheet-fed printing press.
