    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve configuration accuracy and to reduce internal strain in a plastic optical element manufactured by resin molding.
      SOLUTION: A plastic lens molding mold which has a cavity insert transferring a light incidence surface 4a and a light outgoing surface 5a and a pair of cavity inserts which are installed at both end parts of the cavity insert transferring the light incidence surface and the light outgoing surface, face each other in the light direction, and transfer a light non-passage surface. A long slit ventilation hole 6 is formed in the main scanning direction of the light incidence surface and the light outgoing surface in at least one of the cavity inserts transferring the light non-passage surface. The ventilation hole 6 is formed over a length of at least light effective range along a position at approximately equal distance from the light incidence surface and the light outgoing surface. The plastic lens molding mold is applied to the molding process in which air is sprayed from the ventilation hole 6 on an inside molten resin to accelerate the cooling of the resin.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of molding a plastic molding in which high form accuracy is required, wherein a temperature distribution inside a cavity is uniformized without distorting a cavity surface processed with high degree of accuracy.
