    • PURPOSE:To perform unmanned welding, by providing an arc length controller and a torch adjusting mechanism controller, and determining a torch aim position in a weld-layer direction and a weld-bead width direction. CONSTITUTION:The titled welder is equipped with the arc length controller 13 which adjusts the aim position of the weld layer direction each weld bead layer and the torch adjusting mechanism controller 16 which makes a breadthwise aim position adjustment and performs continuous multilayer welding. The said controller 13 detects an arc current generated between a base metal and an electrode to adjust arc length l to a set value and holds it, and also adjusts the aim position of the torch in the weld bead layer direction to prescribed positions S1 and S2 of respective layers. The said controller 16 has a setting part for setting the position order of the aim position of the torch in the weld bead width direction and moves and adjusts the welding torch 2 to the breadthwise torch aim position of the prescribed bead of each layer.

    • PURPOSE:To control automatically an arc welder of a manual operation type by containing a current setting device, an operation controller, and a control command part in a package, and also connecting them to a current control part. CONSTITUTION:A welding current which has been set to a current setting device 18 is inputted to an operation controller 17, and the operation controller 17 calculates a deviation value to the welding current detected by a current sensor 15. Subsequently, an operation command of a motor 9 is given to a control command part 19 so that this deviation value becomes about '0'. Said current setting device 18, operation controller 17 and control command part 19 are installed in a package 22, and they can be connected to a current control part 3 of a welding transformer 2 through a cord coupler 24 having a controlling cord 23. A measuring cord 25 of the current sensor 15 is connected to the package 22 by other cord coupler 26.

    • PURPOSE:To permit satisfactory short crcuit transfer welding by inserting a capacitor for supplying short circuit current and a smoothing reactor in the DC output side and providing a current control means which detects the circuit current on the supply side and provides negative feedback to the output side. CONSTITUTION:A reactor 14 acting as an impedance element is provided in series between rectifiers 41, 42 and a smoothing reactor 5 and a capacitor 13 is connected in parallel therewith, in an electric power source for arc welding. The charging current of the capacitor 13 and the current flowing in a load are detected with a shunt 15, and is compared with the output of a current setting part 19, the differential signal whereform is inputted to a comparator 22. On the other hand, the voltage of the capacitor 13 is detected with a voltage detection part 20, and is compared with the output of the voltage setting part 21, the differential signal wherefrom is inputted to the comparator 22. Both outputs are compared in the comparator 22, and the signal thereof is outputted to a signal distribution circuit 26. The circuit 26 distributes the pulse signals determined by the comparator 22 alternately to transistor driving circuits 121, 122 with the saw-tooth wave signal from an oscillator 11 as clock.
