    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining system accurately machining even if a workpiece bends. SOLUTION: The machining system 1 includes: a lathe 10 including end supporting mechanisms 13 and 15 for horizontally supporting both ends of a long workpiece W respectively, a tool rest 20 for holding a tool, a feed mechanism for moving the tool rest 20 in three orthogonal axial directions and a controller 25 for controlling the feed mechanism; and a non-contact measurement device 30 structured to be attached to/detached from the tool rest 20 and including a measuring head 31 for measuring, without contact, a distance from an outer peripheral surface of the workpiece W rotated at rotation speed during machining in a plurality of positions in an axial direction of the workpiece W, and a deflection shape calculating part 54 for calculating a deflection shape of the workpiece W, based on the measured distance or the like.
