    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic separation apparatus that stabilizes magnetic separation properties by preventing the clogging of an aqueduct due to the build-up of a magnetic aggregate to the inner wall of a water conductive pipe and by accomplishing a cost reduction due to a small-diameter part of the water conductive pipe. SOLUTION: The magnetic separation apparatus is provided with a coreless solenoid type magnet 105 at the surrounding of the water conductive pipe 301 to conduct a water from the lower part of the water to be treated containing the magnetic aggregate in which a pollutant and magnetic powder are condensed, a rotary disc type magnetic filter case 103 equipped with a matrix group to adsorb the magnetic aggregate in the water to be treated supplied from the water conductive pipe 301 at the upper part of the coreless solenoid type magnet 105 and a washing means 111 to wash the matrix group which is adsorbed by the magnetic aggregate. The water conductive pipe 301 has the small-diameter pipe 301a located within the coreless solenoid type magnet 105 and an expanded pipe 301b expanding to the water conductive part side of the rotary disc type magnetic filter case 103 from the small-diameter pipe 301a.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic separator which can increase a probability of capturing magnetic particles by their adhesion to non-magnetic materials, and reuse magnetic particles not adhering to the non-magnetic materials. SOLUTION: The magnetic separator magnetically attracts and separates a non-magnetic material by adding magnetic particles into a non-magnetic material-containing liquid to be treated, causing the magnetic particles to adhere to the non-magnetic material and magnetically attracting the magnetized non-magnetic material by a magnetic filter. A magnetic separation part is installed in a pipe for the liquid to be treated into which the magnetic particles are added, and is divided into a magnetically attracting section, a magnetization section, and a magnetic particle remixing section from the downstream side. In the pipe, a plurality of the magnetic filters are axially installed side by side, and a moving means for moving the magnetic filters toward the upstream side is installed. The magnetic particles magnetically attracted to the magnetic filters in the magnetic attraction section are separated from the magnetic filters in the magnetic particle remixing section to migrate into the liquid to be treated, and the migrating magnetic particles are made to re-adhere to the non-magnetic material. The moving velocity of the magnetic particles migrating in the liquid to be treated in the magnet-carrying section is made higher than that of the non-magnetic material in the liquid to be treated, thereby facilitating the adhesion of the magnetic particles to the non-magnetic material.
