    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet grinding mill capable of providing ground grains that can be pumped in an improved embodiment and a method for operating the mill. SOLUTION: A wet grinding mill 1 is described, which has a squeezing means 3, an accommodation space 6 arranged below the squeezing means 3, and a conveying element 8 that follows the accommodation space 6 for ground matters.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure an ultrasonic wave even when a flow rate is changed greatly, or when the kind of measuring fluid is changed.

Even when the propagation time of the ultrasonic wave is changed greatly and a reception timing becomes earlier and the reception timing is overlapped with an output invalidation period of the receiving circuit 2, the ultrasonic wave can be received by shortening a time for invalidating the output from the receiving circuit 2.
