    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an exhaust gas used in a purge gas in regenerating an adsorbent and to improve product yield in pretreatment purification of material air by a TSA (temperature swing adsorption) method in cryogenic air separation.
      SOLUTION: This method of continuously purifying the material air while switching and using a plurality of adsorption vessels 5a, 5b filled with moisture adsorbents 20a, 20b for adsorbing water in the material air and carbon dioxide adsorbents 21a, 21b for adsorbing carbon dioxide, includes an adsorbing process, a pressure reducing process, a heating process, a cooling process, and a pressure charging process. In the heating process, an overall heating process for heating the carbon dioxide adsorbent and the moisture adsorbent by supplying the heated purge gas not including the water and carbon dioxide to an outflow side of the material air of the carbon dioxide adsorbent, and a partial heating process for heating the moisture adsorbent by supplying the heated ordinary air between the carbon dioxide adsorbent and the moisture adsorbent, are executed in parallel.
