    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cage the insertion of which in a space between the top and bottom vertebral bodies is easy, and which can increase the stabilization without generating a positional slippage. SOLUTION: As for this cage 1 to be interposed between a pair of vertebrae 23, both side surfaces 11L and 11R on the right and the left in a cage body 3 are respectively formed into a smooth surface. Also, on both of the top and bottom surfaces of the cage body 3, a large number of protruding sections 19 which are arranged in the longitudinal direction and the lateral direction are provided. The distal end surfaces of the large number of protruding sections 19 approximately match the curved surface of a virtual circular arc shape with the axial center 15 in the longitudinal direction as the center. At the large number of protruding sections, the end edges on the internal sides of the protruding sections being closer to both of the right and left side surfaces is formed to be more acute. On the cage body 3, a longitudinal through-hole 5 which penetrates in the longitudinal direction is formed. Also, on both of the right and left side surfaces 11L and 11R and both of the top and bottom surfaces in the cage body 3, a communicating hole 17 which communicates with the longitudinal through-hole 5 is installed, and the communicating holes 17 are round holes with the same diameter.
