    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that an amount of oxidation of heat resistant steel used in a kiln under an indirect heating is increased, the steel cannot be used due to the increase of thermal distortion at high temperature exceeding 1100 deg.C, and a large product cannot be manufactured by using ceramics. SOLUTION: A hard fireproof material is formed in a cylindrical steel plate provided with a charging wall and an exhaust wall at the front and rear parts thereof to have a furnace body. On both the walls, a plurality of through holes are opened at positions near the center so as not to come into contact with inner powder to be treated even upon rotation and a rod type silicon carbide heater is mounted. At the central part of the charging wall, a hole is opened and used as an inlet port. At the end of the exhaust wall, the side wall of the cylinder is extended and a hole is opened to be used as an exhaust port. On the outer surface of the furnace body, two tires and sprockets are provided and assembled with four support rollers and two stopper rollers and a rotating speed reducer similarly to a well-known rotary kiln.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary combustion chamber structure, at a low cost, requiring a small installation area and improving heat efficiency by constituting the secondary combustion chamber of a carbonizing kiln having blowing out nozzles and a carbonizing kiln integrally in one unit. SOLUTION: This secondary combustion chamber structure of a carbonizing kiln is provided by installing a secondary combustion chamber 9 having two exhaust gas inlet ports 7 each equipped with an adjusting plate 19 and partitioned with partitioning arch bricks 10 beneath a carbonizing chamber 1 of a carbonizing kiln having blowing out nozzles. In order not to slip the partitioning arch bricks 10, a structure is provided for receiving them by plural rows of receiving bricks 17, and the adjusting plates 19 are put on them. A deodorizing air intake port and a deodorizing burner 14 are installed at each of the exhaust gas inlet port parts, and an exhausted gas exit port 11 is provided at the central part in longitudinal direction of the secondary combustion chamber.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circular tapered liner which is excellent in finish and dispenses with the cutting and the welding of a contact surface by machining single sides of two doughnut-like disks in a spiral shape, machine-finishing surfaces opposite thereto, and setting together the spiral surfaces to form a pair. SOLUTION: Single sides of doughnut-like disks are machined in a spiral shape, other sides are also machine-finished, and the spiral surfaces of two disks in which holes of the same diameter are made inside are set together so that upper and lower surfaces are horizontal, the upper part is an upper liner 2 and a lower part is a lower liner 1, and a plurality of recesses 6 are machined in an outer circumferential surface of the upper liner 2. Two liners are set together, and a center pipe 3 as long as the smallest dimension and as large in diameter as a gap is inserted therein. The circular tapered liner is installed in an installation gap, the upper liner 2 is turned in the extending direction by abutting a tip of a screw-driver object on the recesses 6, and when the turning becomes slightly tight, a part of a contact surface of the upper liner 2 with the lower liner 1 is welded.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the safety in the molten glass tapping operation by holding the above electric furnace at a temp. higher than the softening temp. of a molybdenum disilicide heater, and making the furnace tiltable. CONSTITUTION:A rack 4 is formed by a shape steel 29 and a steel sheet 1, and the electric furnace F is placed on the rack through a shaft 16 and a bearing 17 and made tiltable by a hydraulic cylinder 8. The molybdenum disilicide heater 3 of the furnace F is energized. When the furnace temp. reaches the melting temp., glass material is charged in a crucible 9 and melted. The furnace temp. is then held at a temp. higher than the melting temp. of 1300 deg.C of the heater 3, a trough 11 is heated by a burner 7, and then the furnace F is tilted by the cylinder 8. Since the brittleness of the heater 3 vanishes at >=1300 deg.C, the heater 3 is only bent when the furnace is tilted, and not damaged. Since the molten glass is automatically tapped by this method, manpower is not needed for the operation, and safety is improved.
