CONSTITUTION:A main body 1 is provided with a rod-inserting hole 19 in parallel with a valve axis, and a push rod 28 is inserted to be pushed on a cam surface 25. When a collar 16 is brought to an air-escape position, the collar 16 is turned in the direction of an arrow G by the cam effect of a return spring 29 and a thread part 25a. This construction prevents the failure to return the lever 15, thus preventing the trouble of engine beforehand.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the trouble due to the failure to return a lever by turning a collar of the lever from an opening position of an air-escaped opening/closing route to a closed position of the fuel-opened state by the portion of relative play of the collar against a valve by a return spring. CONSTITUTION:A torsion return spring 25 is provided between the bottom of a collar 16 made in one body with a lever 15 and a parallel valve 13 for giving force in the reverse direction of an arrow F. The collar 16 and the parallel valve 13 can be turned in one body, and the collar 16 can be turned by the portion of play L against the parallel valve 13. This construction permits return of the lever 15 automatically from an air-escape position to a fuel-opened position, and consequently prevent the failure to return the lever 15, thus preventing the trouble of an engine beforehand.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the operability of decompressing operation, by accommodating base end sections of a decompressing shaft and a decompressing lever in a recess formed in a valve arm chamber lid so that they may not extend to the operation side of an engine. CONSTITUTION:The valve arm chamber lid 21 mounted on the frontal side of the cylinder head 4 of a horizontal internal combustion engine is formed with the recess 34 at a position that faces an arm section 28a of a suction valve arm 28 of a valve gear accommodated in a valve arm chamber 23 in the valve arm chamber lid 21. A boss section 35 formed at the side of the recess 34 is formed with a shaft insertion hole 36 in parallel with a valve arm shaft 26, and the decompressing shaft 39 is rotatably inserted in the hole 36. The inner end of the shaft 39 is formed with a cam section 40 that faces an engaging projection 41 formed on an arm section 27a of an exhaust valve arm 27, and the decompressing lever 43 is attached to the outer end thereof. When the lever 43 is rotated to the position shown by phantom line, an exhaust valve 31 can be released by the cam section 40 through the exhaust valve arm 27.
