    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can easily and swiftly discriminate whether the bottom dead center position of a press machine lies at a proper position or not without measuring the precision of an actual press product, and to provide a method which can easily and swiftly adjust the bottom dead center position to a proper position, and a press machine which can perform these methods.
      SOLUTION: The bottom dead center position of a press machine provided with a slide movable to a direction approaching a bolster and to a direction separating therefrom is adjusted. By a marking part with a plurality of projecting parts whose height dimensions are different formed on at least either of a pair of dies fitted to the bolster and the slider, a recessed part is formed at the non-product region of a workpiece at the bottom dead center position by the pressing action of the projecting parts, and, based on the number of the recessed parts formed at the bottom dead center position, whether the bottom dead center position of the slider is proper or not is discriminated, or based on the information of the number of the recessed parts, the bottom dead center position is adjusted.

    • PURPOSE:To correct automatically the bottom dead point position of a slide without losing the function of a press machine by controlling the oil temp. of a lubricatng oil in accordance with the signal from a sensor which detects the bottom dead point position of the slide. CONSTITUTION:When a bottom dead point position rises to a reference value or above, a CPU20 feeds a prescribed signal to a selecting circuit 21 to operate a relay. If the relay is assumed to be, for example, PL3 and PL7, the normally open contacts PL3a and PLPa of the relays turn on and a resistor VR3a for temp. setting is selected and at the same time, a control circuit for a heating part is operated. The resistance value by the resistor VR3a and a main variable resistor R1a is therefore set at the terminals A, B of a temp. controller circuit 23, by which the temp. of the heating control circuit in the same temp. controller 23 is set. The bottom dead point is thus lowered down to the reference value.

    • PURPOSE:To correct automatically the bottom dead point position of a slide without decreasing production efficiency by controlling the air pressure to be supplied to counter balancers in accordance with the signals relating to the bottom dead point of sensors which detect the bottom dead point position of the slide. CONSTITUTION:A flywheel 10 is rotated by a motor 11 to revolve a crank shaft 7 which moves vertically a slide 5 by means of connection screws 6. Pressing is accomplished by a punch 16 and a die 15. On the other hand, the bottom dead point of the slide 5 is detected by sensors 14. The outputs from the sensors are fed to a control circuit by which the difference from a standard value is decided at all times. If the difference between the reference position and the bottom dead point position exceeds continuously a prescribed value by N-times (preset adequately), the air pressure optimum for correcting the difference is selected and is supplied to counter balancers 9. The bottom dead point position of the slide is thus automatically corrected during the operation of a press machine 1.
