    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polybutylene terephthalate resin with excellent moldability, flame retardance, toughness, and weld property. SOLUTION: The flame-retardant polybutylene terephthalate resin is obtained by compounding, based on 100 pts.wt. of (A) polybutylene terephthalate resin having intrinsic viscosity (IV) of 0.8 dL/g or more, (B) a specific brominated epoxy compound and (C) a specific brominated polyacrylate in an amount of 10-50 pts.wt. as a total of (B) and (C), (D) 3-20 pts.wt. of antimony oxide, (E) 1-7 pts.wt. of modified olefinic polymer modified with at least one selected from an unsaturated carboxylic acid and its derivatives, and (F) 0-0.5 pts.wt. of a fluorine-containing resin, wherein the weight ratio of (B) to (C) ((B)/(C)) is in the range from 97/3 to 50/50.
