    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make oil from a laminated composite mainly containing a polycarbonate and its optical disk housing case by a method in which a waste plastic material in which at least one of organic, inorganic, and metallic substances is laminated on the polycarbonate is gasified by melt pyrolysis, cooled, condensed, and liquefied. SOLUTION: A reactor 1 of a stainless steel container is divided into upper and lower parts by a metal catalyst layer 5, the upper part is connected with a cooler 9, and a heater 2, an agitator 7 for agitating a liquid phase, and others are arranged in the reactor 1. Plastic 3 cut into prescribed pieces is packed in the reactor 1, with white kerosene in a prescribed weight ratio to the plastic 3 added as a solvent 4 to prevent local heating, and heat-melted by the heater 2 with agitating by the agitator 7, and a generated gas is passed through the catalyst layer 5, condensed by the cooler 9, and collected in an extraction oil container 10. In this way, a product of a laminated composite mainly containing a polycarbonate such as an optical disk and a tray material mainly containing polystyrene can be converted into oil in a good yield.

    • PURPOSE: To improve the smoothness of the surface of a magnetic recording layer and thin a medium itself by layering a non-magnetic layer having holes not sealed on the surface of a non-magnetic base body, and the magnetic recording layer having inorganic particles including magnetic powders mixed therein. CONSTITUTION: A non-magnetic layer 2 and a magnetic recording layer 3 are layered on a non-magnetic base body 1 thereby to form a magnetic recording medium 4. Many irregularities, namely, holes 5 not sealed are formed on the surface of the layer 2 by a porous treatment. Magnetic powders or inorganic fine particles 6 such as abrasive particles, etc., included in the layer 3 are pressed into the holes 5, so that the surface of the layer 3 becomes smooth. Aluminum or the like is utilizable for tone layer 2. In the porous treatment, the surface is subjected to anodic oxidation treatment, thereby to form arm anodic oxidation aluminum layer, with many holes 5 formed. Further, the layer 3 after formed is pressed from above by calendering or the like so as to feed the inorganic particles into many holes 5.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate recovering method for recovering a high purity substrate as it is from an optical recording medium without mixing any contaminants such as a protection layer and a label layer (pigments) to reuse it as a resource. SOLUTION: When the substrate 11 is recovered from the optical recording medium (CD) consisting of the substrate 11 made of a thermoplastic resin and a reflection layer 13, the protection layer 14 and the label layer 15 which are laminated on the substrate 11, at least two following steps are carried out. The first step is to form exposed parts (grooves) 18 by exposing a part of the lowermost reflection layer 13 physically and the second step is to remove the layer 13 through the parts 18 chemically and remove the layers 14 and 15 on the layer 13 by making good use of the absence of the layer 13. The plural exposed parts 18 are arranged on the whole surface of the optical recording medium at almost regular pitches i.e., plural grooves are arranged at the positions like the intersection points of a go board so that a distance between the intersection points is made to be 5 mm.
