      SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the spacer for optical fiber cable comprises: inserting the high-tensile wire 21 into a cross head die of an extruder 11 while delivering the high-tensile wire 21 composed of steel wire wound on a feeding drum 3; extruding thermo-plastic resin in a melted state around it and solidifying the resin to form a spacer body having, on the periphery, a plurality of spiral grooves for storing optical fibers. The high-tensile wire 21, in a state of being delivered from the feeding drum 3 and with a tensile stress applied thereon, is subjected to a heating process by putting it through a heat treatment apparatus 6 in which steel wire temperature becomes 450-600°C, and, thereafter, the high-tension wire 21 is supplied to the extruder 11.
