      SOLUTION: In the discard cutting device of the extruding press, a shear cylinder 22 and a shear guide 25 turnable in a die direction and in an opposite die direction are mounted downward at a fixed frame 21 arranged on a container side of an end platen 11 holding a die 12. The piston rod 23 of the shear cylinder is supported at an upper end center part. A shear slide 24 mounted with a shear blade 29 at a die side of a lower end is slidably arranged in the shear guide. When the discard 41 is cut, the slide of the shear slide is not restricted by the deformation of the fixed frame.
