CONSTITUTION:A first coating film 2 of a superconducting substance such as YBa2Cu3O7-x and a second coating film 3 of the same superconducting substance having a recess 3A are successively formed on the surface of a base material such as Ni. Powder of a flux 4 consisting of Y2O3, BaO and CuO, having a lower m.p. than the superconducting substance and depositing the same superconducting substance from the molten soln. is filled into the recess 3A. Only the flux is melted by heating with a heater and the formed molten part 4A is moved along the base material 1 by moving the heater to form a subcontracting coating film 5 having the ab faces of crystals aligned in the longitudinal direction of the base material 1. A dense superconducting material having a single superconducting phase, the ab faces of crystals aligned in one direction and a high critical current density is obtd.

    • PURPOSE:To form an oxide superconducting film having the prescribed desired composition by reflecting a CO2 laser beam by a vibrating mirror, irradiating a vapor deposition source with the reflected CO2 laser beam, and allowing the grains evaporated from the vapor deposition source to adhere to the surface of a body to be subjected to vapor deposition. CONSTITUTION:A vapor deposition source 2 for yttria-stabilized zirconia, etc., and a base material 3 are disposed in a manner to be opposed to each other in a vacuum chamber 1 having a gas exhaust port 6. The above vapor deposition source 2 is irradiated with a CO2 laser beam from the outside of the vacuum chamber 1 via a laser- transmitting window 4, by which the grains evaporated from the evaporation source 2 are allowed to adhere to the surface of the base material 3 so as to be formed into a film. In the above CO2 laser vapor deposition method, the CO2 laser beam is reflected by a vibrating mirror 7 provided to the outside of the vacuum chamber 1 to undergo vibration, with which the evaporation source 2 is irradiated practically over the entire surface of the evaporation source 2. By this method, an oxide superconducting film, etc., consisting of plural components and having the prescribed desired composition can be formed on the base material 3 surface, and further, the service life of the vapor deposition source 2 can be prolonged.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a superconductive tape material having a stable fine superconductive film of required thickness and making a quick speed formation of a film by composing the captioned material from a tape-state metallic base material, a compound oxide superconductive layer including a CuxOy group, and a metallic layer. CONSTITUTION:The captioned material is composed of a tapestate metallic base material 1, Y-Ba-Cu-O group compound oxide superconductive layer 2 including a CUxOy group, for instance, component composition of YBa2Cu3O7-y, formed on one side surface of the material 1, and a metallic layer 3 formed on the surface of the layer 2. The material 1 is composed of any one of base materials of copper, nickel, nickel group alloy, and a copper base material wherein nickel or nickel group alloy is coated on the surface of the layer 2 side; and the layer 3 is composed of any one of layers of copper, nickel, and nickel group alloy. This enables the superconductive tape material to have an excellent superconductive characteristic, to provide required strength and flexibility, and to be simply manufactured at low cost, and in short time.
