CONSTITUTION: A pasty dental abrassive suitably used for the sake of abrading and polishing dental prosthesis is prepared from fine powder alumina, fatty acid, surfactant, a coloring agent, an antifungal agent and water. At this time, pref., the content of fine powder alumina is set to 20-70wt.%, that of fatty acid is set to 2-8wt.% and the sum total content of fatty acid and the surfactarft is set to 4-21wt.%. In the particle size distribution of fine powder alumina, a particle size at a cumulation height 20% point is 3.1μm or less and a particle size at a cumulation height 50% point is 2.2-1.3μm and a particle size at accumulation height 80% point is 0.6μm or more. As fine powder alumina, one with Al2 O3 content of 96wt.% or more is pref. used.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a hardenable composition used for the missing part or the like of bone and tooth, to achieve the practically easy processing, a high mechanical and adhesive strength, wherein the composition is prepared by calcium phosphate powder, polyacrylic acid or copolymer of acrylic acid with the other kind of unsaturated organic acid, and polysaccharide compounds. CONSTITUTION:The hardenable composition is prepared from the following; (1) powder of calcium phosphate containing 0.01-5.0wt.% of polyvinylpyrrolidone, and (2) an aqueous solution (a hardening agent) containing 10.0-40.0wt.% of polyacrylic acid or copolymer comprising acrylic acid and the other species of unsaturated organic acid, and 0.1-10.0wt.% of at least one polysaccharide compounds selected from the group consisting of ethylcellulose, sodium chondroitin sulfate, sodium dextran sulfate, etc. The calcium phosphate powder consists of alpha-tricalcium phosphate and/or calcium quarternary phosphate thereby the surface of powder is coated with polyvinyl pyrrolidone.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the titled material, consisting of a photopolymerization initiator consisting of a photosensitizer of an alpha-ketocarbonyl compound and a reducing agent of a glycine compound and aromatic sulfinic acid or salt thereof and a radically polymerizable monomer. CONSTITUTION:A photopolymerizable dental material consisting of a radically polymerizable monomer and a photopolymerization initiator. In the above- mentioned material, the photopolymerization initiator consists of a photosensitizer and a reducing agent and an alpha-ketocarbonyl compound (e.g. diacetyl or benzil) is used as the photosensitizer and a glycine compound expressed by the formula [R1 and R2 are H or alkyl (which may be substituted by vinyl, acyl, alkoxy, etc.); R3 is H, alkyl or aromatic group] and an aromatic sulfinic acid or salt thereof (e.g. benzenesulfinic acid) are used as the reducing agent. The above-mentioned polymerizable dental material has improved photopolymerizability within a low temperature region near ordinary temperature and the resultant material has excellent storage stability, color tone, etc.
