摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable satisfactory welding without removing oil component contained in a sintered member by providing a degassing groove liberating to the air at least either on the welding surface of the sintered member or on the surface to be welded of the opposite member and then welding both surfaces. SOLUTION: A sintered rough shape material is machined for sizing under the conditions of dripping cutting oil to form a cylindrical sintered member 1. On the upper end of the sintered member 1, a placing surface 1a as a welding surface is formed having steps inside. In addition, on the placing surface 1a, a concentric first degassing groove 1b is provided at the boundary of the inside of the steps, as is a second degassing groove 1c communicating with the first groove 1b outside. Then, with the opposite member 2 placed on the placing surface 1a of the sintered member 1, both are assembled. Consequently, in welding the sintered member 1 to the opposite member 2, satisfactory welding is possible free from defects such as blowholes in the weld zone without removing oil component contained in the sintered member 1.

Since the compositional ranges of the alloy elements are regulated to the same ones, the lowering ratio of compressibility is small and there is no fear of affecting its oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance having close connection with the density.

Furthermore, since the hard grains const of a Co-base alloy contg. 30 to 50% Cr, 10 to 20% W, 5 to 15% Mo, 5 to 15% Fe and 0.5 to 3% C as well as a certain ratio of pores are incorporated in the hard grains and the specific gravity ratio is regulated to 20 to 80%, the ratio of the part functioning as the hard grains reduces, its mating attackability is small and it shows excellent wear resistance. Moreover, as a solid lubricant, by dispersing CaF2, MoS2 or MnS therein, its seizing resistance and machinability can be improved.
