    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of dicing a laminated substrate, which can easily and stably dices the laminated substrate into the two pieces of substrate without remaining viscous adhesives in the edge of the substrate even the substrate is thin. SOLUTION: A pair of glass substrate 2 of an EL device 1 is placed in a manner as an EL element parts 3 formed on each faces 2a are facing together. The peripheral portion of the pair of the glass substrates 2 is adhered through a tape member 4 to seal from the outside of the EL element parts 3 disposed between the pair of glass substrates 2. The tape member 4 has adhesive regions 5 on each faces of the outside portion of each glass substrates 2, and non-adhesive regions 6 on both faces in the inside portion thereof. The pair of the glass substrates 2 are diced by scribing the back plane 2b of each glass substrates 2 placed on the non adhesive regions 6 of the tape member 4 after the both glass substrates 1 are thinning processed. Under this condition, the peripheral fringe part of a pair of the glass substrates 1 are pasted together through a sealing material 5, and a hollow part 6 formed between a pair of the glass substrates 1 is sealed from the outside by the sealing material 5. Then, a thinning process is applied to a pair of the glass substrates 1 by immersing a pair of the mutually integrated glass substrates 1 in etching liquid.
