    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston type compressor capable of supplying a sufficient amount of oil to a seal surface of a rotary valve. SOLUTION: The piston type compressor 1 is provided with a rotating shaft 22, motion conversion mechanisms 23, 24, 25, 34 for converting rotational motion of the rotating shaft 22 into reciprocating motion of a piston 33, a cylinder block 3 having a cylinder bore 32 through which the piston 33 reciprocates and slides and a suction port 39, a rotary valve 5 having a communicating passage 50 for rotating in response to the rotating shaft 22 and communicating the outside and the suction port 33 in sucking working gas and a seal surface 52 for sealing the suction port 39 in compressing the working gas, an oil separator 6 for separating oil from the working gas discharged from a discharge port 360, and an oil passage 7 for guiding the oil separated by the oil separator 6 to the seal surface 52.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor in which the power loss can be more decreased. SOLUTION: In the compressor, the port 23b communicating a first chamber 5b with a second chamber 24 is penetrately provided to the partitions 25, 27, and the port 23b is opened and closed by the reed valve 29a. The reed valve 29a comprises a fixed part 291a fixed to a first surface 27f of the partitions 25, 27; a root 292a extending from the fixed part 291a in a first direction D1 to lift; and the valve 293a extending from the root 292a in the first direction D1 to open and close the port 23b. To the first surface 27f, a first groove 27a which surrounds the port 23b at least outside in the first direction D1, and extends to the area that overlaps with the root 292a is provided. When plan-viewing the valve 293a in the condition of the port 23b being closed, the outer edge 293e which is directed to the outside in the first direction D1 in the valve part 293a is matched with the inner edge 27e which is directed to the inside in the first direction D1 of the first groove 27a, or positioned in the inside in the first direction D1 from the inner edge 27e.
