    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing strawberry improved in high calyx separation properties using a gene related to a character of calyx separation, and to provide a method for selecting the strawberry with high calyx separation properties using a gene or protein related to the character of calyx separation.SOLUTION: There are provided the method for producing strawberry improved in the high calyx separation properties that transforms a strawberry plant body using an DNA sequence having a promoter sequence controllable of an ethylene-related gene and expression of the ethylene-related gene in order to improve the separation properties of a calyx, and the method for selecting the strawberry with high calyx separation properties improved in the separation properties of a calyx using an expression amount of the ethylene-related gene or a cumulative amount of an ethylene-related protein synthesized based on the ethylene-related gene as an index.
